Thanks for visiting my website. This is where I will keep you informed about my writing and speaking engagements. Family and friends, present and future, can check in here to find out what is happening in my life as I pursue my retirement goals, inspirational writing and speaking.
My current writing focus is the completion and editing of my nonfiction manuscript "Infinitely Trees." "Infinitely Trees" is the story of what God taught me while I parented my adopted son, Kurtis. He was the most severely abused child to survive in the United States at the time of his adoption. I continue to write short humor pieces and submit articles to periodicals, anthologies, and literary journals.
I write the monthly columns "Out of the Ark" and "Zap, Kackle, Plop" for the The Lincoln City News Guard. I have a great time recalling these charming animal tales from my past and sharing them with readers on the Oregon coast. I am anxiously awaiting the release of Chicken Soup For the Soul: My Dog did What? which contains "Run of the Mill," a story I wrote as a tribute to my husband and a previous dog, "Jimmy." This next great inspirational book from the Chicken Soup folks will be available in August.
I am a member of the Christian Writers Guild. I have been published in RAIN Magazine 2013, 2014 and 2015, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Divorce and Recovery, Apple Hill Cider Press, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Food and Love, Guideposts, God Makes Lemonade, Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can't Believe My Dog Did That, The Secret Place (ten times), Seeds of..., The Mother's Heart Magazine, Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can't Believe My Cat Did That, Vista (ten times), When God Makes Lemonade, Seeds of II ..., CAP Connection, Help! I'm a Parent and others.
