A Busy Week

This is a very dark picture of my sister, Amy, my aunt, Francie, and I enjoying lunch at Claim Jumpers a couple of weeks ago. My aunt was visiting her grandson and family in Portland. Amy and I then drove Francie to Susanville, CA where she finished her vacation with her son and another grandson's family. We had a wonderful visit.

I found out this week that I sold one of my favorite pieces of writing, "A Match Made in Mud," to Lemonade Books. The book will be published and available in September. I like to call "A Match Made in Mud" "a dirty little love story," but I mean that in the cleanest of senses. It is a true story of an incident that happened when my husband and I were dating. It has a great surprize ending. I'll let you know when the book is available.

We have a big birthday event coming up on Saturday. My husband and his twin sister were born on their mom's birthday, May 21st. Birthday shopping is finished, Now for the wrapping.

More birthday news and photos on the next blog!
