Good News!

Kurtis, Doug and I spent Mother's Day with Doug's mom, Louise. She will be 92 in a couple of weeks.

I think this picture of Kurtis is a good one. He is quite handsome, and that is not just a mom talking. For the first time, I am seeing Kurtis at his actual age, 35. I don't know why I have never seen him like that before. He has always been about 19 in my eyes.

The physiatrist thinks Kurtis may have a tiny amount of movement in his frozen left ankle now. Kurtis has been diligent about exercising it and forcing it to move while he is standing at work. Anyway, his foot pain is less and the doctor detects a slight amount of flexibility where there was none before. This is very good news. The doctor would like Kurtis to increase his work hours in order to have more opportunity to exercise those rigid joints in his foot and ankle.

We like good news!

Kurtis is writing a few small segments of my book, Infinitely Trees. His thoughts and feelings add a lot to the story making it truly his. When you read the book, I think you will get a good sense of who Kurtis is from his own words. You'll be captivated by his unigue and gentle spirit.
