Infinitely Trees

Posted by Karen Hessen on Sunday, July 24, 2011 Under: Infinitely Trees,
I am nearly finished with the Apprentice Course offered through the Christian Writer's Guild. It has been, on some levels, challenging, but on all levels rewarding. I plan to continue on with the Journeyman course, but first I have to decide whether to concentrate on fiction or nonfiction. I am leaning towards fiction since that is what "real writers" write.

My manuscript for Infinitely Trees is coming along. It is emotionally challenging to relive some of the more painful parenting moments of Kurtis' life. He has contributed a few passages for the book. If I think it is hard for me it must be even more so for him. I am proud of the segments he has contributed. He is special in so many ways.

On September 1st, I will be speaking to the women's group of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Forest Grove. My topic will be "forgiveness" taken from the Infinitely Trees manuscript. I said "women's group" but at this particular meeting men will be in attendance.
